Jess Ferreira, who was born in Santa Marta, Colombia, will be the 35th player to represent the USMNT against their nation of origin. He is the third Colombian-American to take on Los Cafeteros, after Carlos Llamosa and Jorge Acosta (both on July 31, 1992). (February 3, 2001).

DeJuan Jones, a defender for the USMNT, makes his first start tonight after making his debut on Wednesday.

Matthew Hoppe, an attacker, and Eryk Williamson, a midfielder, both made their first starts since the Concacaf Gold Cup Final vs Mexico on August 1, 2021 in Las Vegas. Both players came off the bench on Wednesday.
