At the age of 45, Annie Wersching, an actor best known for portraying FBI agent Renee Walker in the television series 24, passed away.
Following a battle with cancer, Wersching passed away early on Sunday in Los Angeles, according to her publicist, who spoke to the Associated Press. It was not stated what kind of cancer it was.
We just lost a magnificent artist and human being, stated Neil Druckmann on Twitter, the creator of the video game The Last of Us where Wersching voiced Tess. My heart is broken. The people she loves are in our thoughts.
We adore you Annie Wersching, tweeted actor Abigail Spencer, who costarred with Wersching on the science fiction program Timeless. You are greatly missed.
Wersching, who was born and reared in St. Louis, Missouri, had several television appearances during the course of her two-decade career. Her first acting credit was in Star Trek: Enterprise, and she then had recurring parts as the Borg Queen in the second season of Star Trek: Picard as well as in Bosch, The Vampire Diaries, Marvel’s Runaways, The Rookie, and the seventh and eighth seasons of 24.
According to Deadline, Wershing received a cancer diagnosis in 2020 but continued to work. Stephen Full, an actor, and their three boys are her only surviving family members. The family has a GoFundMe page put up in their support.
