Shakira appears to have mocked ex-partner Gerard Pique in her new song amid infidelity rumors. She joined hands with Bizarrap for his streaming music session. Their first collaboration titled ‘BZRP Music Sessions #53’ dropped on Wednesday, January 11th. In the music session, Bizarrap creates unique beats for popular artists to convey their tracks, although Shakira does not rap, combining her melodious voice with the hitmaker’s peppy beats has become a treat for fans.
This time it looks like Shakira didn’t hold back and took aim at Spanish soccer star Gerard Pique with her scathing lyrics hinting at the latter’s alleged infidelity. While speaking openly about her breakup, Shakira sang in Spanish, “A vixen like me ain’t got no time for newbies like you, I was way out of your league, that’s why you settled with someone like you.” At one point, she channels her emotions of desolation accentuated by a futuristic pop-electronica beat.
“You left me with your mom as a neighbor, the press at my door and a debt to the Treasury/ You thought you hurt me but you made me stronger/ The Women Don’t cry anymore left, women get paid,” Shakira sang. In another vicious taunt, the singer also indirectly suggested to her former partner: “Y’all busy, slow down/So much time in the gym, but maybe exercise your brain a little too.” Watch the track below:
The music session comes as news of Shakira being devastated over Gerard Pique’s viral photo with his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti has come to the fore. The photo of Gerard and Clara is believed to have been taken from a Zoom interview in 2021 when he was “happily together” with Shakira.
