I just finished Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly

One of the best things about working in a bookstore is the opportunity to hear about new authors.  A customer recommended this book to me, since we have enjoyed similar books in the past, and I am so glad she mentioned it.  The story follows the lives of three women as they navigate the treacherous days of World War 2.  Caroline is an American wishing her country was doing more for the people affected by the war, Kasia is a Polish teenager caught up in the resistance movement, and Herta is a young German doctor.
I love books told through multiple points of view and characters in Lilac Girls were so engaging.  I was completely caught up in their individual lives.  This is a perfect choice for fans of Kristin Hannah's The Nightingale  and All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.
